Tracielyn Jones Founder & Lead Music Strategist

Tracielyn Jones is a music and media rights strategist with 20+ years of experience guiding productions through the complex landscape of music licensing, clip and archival clearances and rights management.

Her career began in the creative trenches of music production with legendary producer Carl “Chucky” Thompson at Chucklife Productions / Epic Records. It was here, while navigating the renegotiation of Thompson’s publishing catalog, that Tracielyn developed a deep fascination with the mechanics of music rights. This pivotal experience led her to EMI Music Publishing, where she mastered the intricacies of sync licensing and clearance for high-profile film and television placements.

Tracielyn later joined Paramount Global (formerly ViacomCBS), leading music strategy and clearances for an expansive slate of MTV & Nickelodeon series, feature films, and global franchise content. Her rare, 360-degree perspective—spanning independent production, major publishing and studio networks—allows her to seamlessly align a filmmaker’s creative vision with practical, legally secure execution.

When she isn't navigating rights landscapes, Tracielyn is likely courtside or tuned in to an NBA game as a devoted Stephen Curry fan. A lover of Los Angeles’ vibrant culture, she spends her time exploring the city’s best coffee and wine scenes, always fueled by the live music and sporting events that continue to shape her creative lens.

FUN FACT:
She recently won a national sweepstakes from Curry’s Gentleman’s Cut Bourbon, scoring exclusive merchandise and tickets to see the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center. She brings that same "win-focused" energy to her clients at JGE—combining deep strategy with the "clutch" execution required to clear complex music rights on tight production timelines.

FRANCHISE CONSULTING & PRODUCTION PARTNERSHIPS

Separate from her studio roles, Tracielyn maintained a decade-long consulting relationship with the production company Truly Original, providing music licensing and clearance support across multiple seasons of the hit reality franchise The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Her work extended across franchise programming and specials including Xscape: Still Kickin’ It and other cast-driven spin-off projects. Acting as an external strategic advisor, she guided production teams through music licensing, rights negotiations, and clearance strategy from development through post-production. The long-standing relationship reflects her ability to support complex, multi-season unscripted franchises as a trusted production partner.
